ACTIVITIES:
On Thursday all campers arrived by the afternoon. Don and Bette led a group of 10 early arrivers to the Tacony Manufacturing factory in St James for tour of the plant while Bob Burhorn, Bob Stiern and Jack Tschannen made a run to Maramec Spring Park to check out the trout fishing. Following dinner, the evening was spent either around the campfire at the Burhorn’s site or playing cards in the rec-room.

On Friday, a group visited the new Public House Brewery and the “Just A Taste Winery" in St James. Our regular junking crew (the Hunters and Fords) made their way to Rolla in search of treasure. The St. James Knights of Columbus Fish Fry was the place to be for dinner.

Saturday activities included back to the Brewery for a lunch of beer, pizza and burgers. Once again the junkers descended on Rolla to be sure nothing had escaped them on Friday. Jim and Renate Ehrhard drove down for a nice visit. It was good to see them again. Following dinner at either The Winery or Country Bob’s, the campfire at the Burhorn’s was stoked up again. Those who stayed at the camp[fire were entertained by raucous singing and strumming provided by the musical / comedy team of “Miss Carol” (our 80 year old neighboring camper), Bob Burhorn on the ukulele, and Tom (the campground owner) on guitar.

Sunday morning included our Potluck breakfast followed by the regular business meeting. All campers were on the road home by noon!
